The theme of the 76th Western Poultry Disease Conference is “From Omics to the Flock: Basic, Translational and Applied Research”.  In the last decade, the so-called -omics, that is genomics, metagenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, have taken deep roots in basic research. Slowly, they are also making their way into translational and applied research. But they are not the only methods to take this path. We want to explore what good research at every level of this continuum looks like and how they are connected to each other.

The WPDC Foundation Board would like to invite all interested presenters including poultry clinicians, diagnosticians, graduate students, residents and veterinary students to submit summaries that may be applicable for this meeting. We are requesting titles and summaries of up to 150 words in three categories: full oral presentation, short case report and poster. The short case reports will be 7-minute presentations followed by 3 minutes for questions and discussions. They are intended to encourage poultry clinicians to present interesting cases without the pressure to include a comprehensive scientific background and discussion. Presentations will be selected from the submission pool, and all chosen presentations will be included in the 76th annual WPDC Proceedings. Detailed instructions will be provided to those whose titles are accepted.

Note that abstracts will be collected through Oxford Abstracts. You will need to complete an Oxford Abstract profile on your initial submission.
